Family Baby Shower and One Month Old!

I was supposed to have a shower with my family the Saturday AFTER Brynne was born! Once we found out I was going to be induced, we called everyone and told them it would be rescheduled. It actually worked out pretty well because Brynne got to be there and everyone got to see her before we move. I don't have pictures from the shower, but here is Brynne and I ready to go!

We had a great shower! It was good to see everyone and show Brynne off :) We also got all kinds of goodies!!

Brynne was also one month old on the day of the shower! It's hard to believe she has already been here one month, but at the same time I can't remember life before her!

One month stats (added from March 2 doctor's appointment):

10 pounds 6 ounces

22 1/4 inches long

She is getting so big!

Mini Photo Shoot

After Chris left we had a little photo shoot :) I had been wanting to take some pictures of miss Brynne, so as Chris was on the way to the airport we did just that! I think they turned out so cute! I will be using some of them for a birth announcement (I'll try to post that later).

Our Weekend!

My good friend Katie came to meet Brynne this weekend! Katie and I have been friends since I was a sophomore (she was a freshman) in high school. We were in the same Algebra II class (yes, she was a genius!) and hit it off right away. She and I and a few other friends were inseparable until we all graduated in 2003. Katie went off to school at UT, but we tried to keep in touch and visit as much as possible. I'm glad she was able to come visit before we leave for Minnesota!



I think Brynne liked her! She was sleeping pretty good...

Chris was in town the same weekend Katie was here! We enjoyed spending some time together and I know he loved spending some time spoiling Brynne!!

I'm going to be in trouble when she gets a little older... I don't think he'll be able to tell her NO :)

Chris is gone now, but he'll be back in a couple of weeks!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Apparently Brynne doesn't care for this holiday too much, haha! That's ok though because her mom and dad don't think much about it either!

Her hat was made by my great aunt Sherry, the bid was a shower gift from a co-worker and her outfit was mine when I was a baby!

Spring is definitely right around the corner! It was pretty warm and sunny today for the first time since Brynne was born. We took advantage of the great weather and went to the park for a walk (after a change of clothes for our little hot box of course!)

2 Weeks!

Our Little Escape Artist!!

One day I laid Brynne in the cradle that Allison and I used when we were babies. I walked out of the room for a few minutes and peeked back in to see this:

We later found out she wasn't a fan of the cradle rocking her... maybe that's why she was trying to escape :)

On February 1 we went to the pediatrician for the first time. Brynne wighed 7 lbs 7 oz when she was born, 7 lbs 1 oz when she came home from the hospital, and 7 lbs 5 oz at her first appointment. The doctor was very pleased with that and her jaundice levels, so he said we didn't have to go back for a month!


I decided to try and take a few pics with the blanket I crocheted for her. She didn't like that idea so this is the only one I got!
