One month ago...

One month ago today and yesterday we had the biggest snow of the season! The forcast changed a million times, one day it was only going to be 5 inches, the next it was going to be 15, and everything in between! Brynne and I stayed home all day waiting for the snow to start, but it didn't start until around 5-5:30, oh well!

Chris and I are weather nuts and love watching the weather, so we had the blinds open all night watching the snow come down! It was coming down pretty hard!

Before it all started... I took this picture because it started sleeting and I thought it was going to start snowing, but false alarm! Actually the rest of that snow on the balcony melted before it started snowing that evening.

I think Brynne was tired of me watching out the window all day!

Yay! It started!! She is definitely our child, she likes to watch the snow too :)

It's hard to take a picture of it snowing through a window, especially when it's dark outside, but you can see the blur of the flakes coming down around the street lights. It was snowing 1-2 inches per hour at this point!

The roads were completely white within a matter of minutes.

We ended up with right about 9 inches, the most snow I can remember seeing at one time!

Chris and I were surprised to see that the roads had not been plowed yet, but figured they were just waiting for the snow to stop before they got started. Plowed or not, people were still driving (including Chris)!

By the end of the day most of the roads looked great! I thought it was cool to watch the plows at work (yes, I am a nerd!).

Only problem is you don't want to be behind them. There is no going around!

Now here we are one month later and we haven't worn our winter coats in almost three weeks!! AND we have grass and budding trees! Last year it was still very cold at this time. I don't think it warmed up until June!!

It took all winter, but I am glad we finally got a good snow! Now I am excited to see what the Spring and Summer have in store for us!

More Fun in the Sun!

Friday was another beautiful day here! It was 76 and sunny!! We went to the grocery store, then came home and played outside for a little bit before Brynne's nap.

Ready to go to the store! We shed the jacket as soon as we got outside, didn't realize how hot it was!

After we put the refrigerated things away, we went outside. The picture quality is terrible, I had my camera on something other than auto (imagine that!), but the sun was so bright that I couldn't see the previews!

I've got one more post from this weekend. Unfortunately the weather this week hasn't been as nice; still warmer than average, but overcast and rainy! Next week is looking pretty decent though :)

It's Official...

As of yesterday, we have a walker! Everyone has a different idea of when they have a walker. Some people say it's when they first start taking steps and it ranges all the way up to walking 100% of the time. My definition is when they walk practically 100% of the time and stand back up after they fall instead of crawling. Between Saturday and Sunday the switch flipped and Brynne is OFF!! She has been walking really well the past couple of weeks, but yesterday at church she was all over the place. She fell over and over because she was walking in socks on a slippery floor, but she kept getting up every time!

I think part of the reason it has taken her so long to get to this point is because she has wanted to run since her very first steps! And today, one day after officially walking, she is running! She can stop, change directions, step over or push something out of the way with her foot, bend down and pick something up, and throw a ball all while walking.

Crazy bath hair...

Can't remember if I posted this or not, but this is the wreath I made for our door at Christmas.

I had to wake Brynne up from a nap one day and she usually wakes up as soon as I walk in the door, but she didn't this day. She looked so sweet (and positioned EXACTLY like I sleep) that I had to take a picture :)

We have one of our moving boxes in the living room to block the TV stand. One night we set it up like a tunnel and Brynne enjoyed crawling through it!

One day I let Brynne try to feed herself some yogurt. She does great getting the spoon in her mouth, but not so great at getting the food off the spoon!!

Later this week I will post more pictures from our time outside over the past week! The weather has still been SO nice!!

Spring Forward...

to Spring?!?! Last Friday it was 25 degrees, overcast, and VERY windy... It was COLD! Today the high was 70!!! Apparently the time change brought a weather change along with it and I like it :)

Brynne and I took advantage of the spring like weather and played outside today! This was her first time playing outside, so of course I took a million pictures. Here are a few :)

After dinner we went back out with dad! Brynne walked around a little, Chris pushed her in the swing a little while, and she and I went down the slide together! I hope this weather will continue, but I wouldn't be surprised if we got one more good snow! Either way, I'm looking forward to playing outside with Brynne more and more!!
